Why sweets make you fat!
Have you ever stood in front of the mirror and asked , Am I Fat? One of the simplest ways to reduce fat is to cut out sugar. Worst then sugar are the modern sweeteners, fructose and high fructose corn syrup.
The reason its so hard to cut out sweets is because they are addictive.
Just like any other drug, sugar releases dopamine and opiates in the brain. Similar to what happens when an addict uses cocaine or crack. Except of course not as potent. A study done on rats back in 2008 proved that sugar leads to behavior and neurochemical changes in the brain.
Fructose will cause resistance to insulin!
Insulin has many functions in the body. One of the main functions is regulating glucose in the blood stream. Your muscles use glucose for energy. But to much glucose is very toxic. Excessive glucose will start to break down the body.
Normally Insulin will regulate this function.
Fructose does not stop sugar cravings.
Because Fructose bypasses the workings of insulin, you never feed your craving. In turn you over eat. Elevate your calorie intake and store way more fat then you would normally.
